Who Killed Alex Odeh?

This documentary reopens a decades-old murder case that shook Santa Ana in 1985, when Palestinian American community leader and teacher Alex Odeh was killed by a tripwire bomb in his office. Directors Jason Osder and William Lafi Youmans track a renewed investigation in real time, uncovering new leads and long-buried records as they confront the forces behind this political assassination.

Osder and Youmans bring investigative rigor and intimate storytelling to a case that has haunted a community for over forty years. The film moves between English, Arabic, and Hebrew, centering the voices and perspectives of those closest to Odeh and the ongoing search for justice.

The screening runs 84 minutes and includes multiple Q&A appearances: co-director Jason Osder will be present on October 30 at 7:20 PM and October 31 at 3:00 PM and 5:15 PM; producers Daniel Chalfen and Dawne Langford will join on November 1 at 5:15 PM. Tickets are available through the venue's ticketing partner.
