Joy of Joys

Oscar-winning director Jonathan Glazer (*The Zone of Interest*) takes you behind the scenes at Abbey Road Studios to capture the recording of *HELP(2),* a 2026 charity album from War Child Records that supports children in conflict zones worldwide. What makes this documentary singular: Glazer handed cameras to London schoolkids and told them to shoot however they wanted, then did the same for children in Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, and Yemen. The result is a film Glazer and composer Mica Levi call "by children, for children"—a testament to youthful wonder and creativity amid the devastation of the adult world.

The album features contributions from Damon Albarn, Olivia Rodrigo, Arctic Monkeys, Beth Gibbons, Fontaines D.C., and Jarvis Cocker, and the film weaves their studio sessions with footage shot by the young filmmakers themselves. It's 38 minutes of exuberance and sobering reality running parallel.
