Clarissa Bitar Vinyl Listening Party with Trans Music Archive, MIRA MIRA

Clarissa Bitar, an award-winning queer and trans Palestinian oud musician, is celebrating the vinyl release of his album Bakhaf al Layl with an evening of listening, live performance, and DJ sets. His work anchors itself in ancestral Arab heritage while treating the oud as a living, iterative tradition—sonic portals that nurture dignity and defiance against colonial erasure, featured on Netflix's MO and NPR's All Things Considered.

MIRA MIRA (Samira Mendoza) is a fearless sonic disruptor and performance artist whose work bridges personal history, diasporic reflection, and resistance music. They'll open at 7pm and close the night with vinyl DJ sets, bookending Clarissa's 8pm live performance. Trans Music Archive, the non-profit co-hosting, records the history of trans music and safeguards its future.

Public Records is a Brooklyn venue committed to safer space—they reject all forms of discrimination and center consent. The suggested donation is $25 (NOTAFLOF, meaning no one turned away for lack of funds), doors at 7pm, and it's 21+. RSVP for priority entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
