ArteEast presents KHANEVADE: Portraits of Iranian Americans, an Unpacking the ArteArchive film program curated by Nick Kouhi, screening at Museum of the Moving Image. The program traces Iranian-American life, memory, and belonging across generations through works by Majid Rahnema and Marie Louise Stine, Maryam Kashani, Armon Mahdavi, and others. Spanning a 1961 time capsule of Iranian American families in the Bay Area to a present-day epistolary portrait of Queens, the program builds an intimate, multigenerational picture of community, displacement, and continuity. The screening is followed by a conversation moderated by curator Nick Kouhi.
