Queer SWANA Happy Hour: Back2School Karaoke

Tarab NYC's monthly queer SWANA happy hour is going full karaoke night—bring your voice, your courage, and your favorite songs in any language you can find online. DJ Fursa will spin between sets, there's a speed-networking break to meet your people, and happy hour specials keep the vibe loose and celebratory.

This is the monthly gathering for LGBTQ+ Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African folks and allies in NYC, a space built explicitly for connection and community. Each month shifts the format—drag, open mics, dance parties—but the core stays the same: you belong here.

The basement at Boxers HK on 9th Ave is the spot. Free with advance registration, optional donations at $10 or $20 if you want to support Tarab's work. Expect a packed, joyful room of queer MENA people ready to sing.
