Friendly Stranger Studios presents... BOUCHRA

An animated film screening that doubles as a fundraiser for medical aid in Palestine and Lebanon. Bouchra follows a 35-year-old Moroccan woman navigating a long-distance relationship with her mother in Casablanca through intimate calls and conversations, exploring the love, pain, and secrets that bind them across distance.

Directed by Orian Yani Barki and Meriem Bennani, the film opens with Buckskin, a short documentary by Mars Verrone that examines one filmmaker's conversation with their grandfather—an academic forester and U.S. Forest Service member—about resistance, survival, and protecting community within institutions that reject you.

All proceeds benefit the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children's Fund, which provides medical aid and transportation for critically injured children from Palestine and Lebanon to receive care. Tickets start at $20.
