Book Launch: At the Edge of Where God Built

Celebrate the release of *At the Edge of Where God Built*, a new book from Actar Publishers examining a decade of work by L.E.FT Architects—the New York–based practice of Ziad Jamaleddine and Makram el Kadi, both rooted in Arab-speaking, Islamic geographies of the Middle East and North Africa. The book reorganizes their designs, research, and pedagogy around five key Arabic spatial terms: *tawaf* (circumambulation space), *jami* (mosque space), *riwaq* (a courtyard's colonnade), *dar* (domestic space), and *khirba* (a ruin), illuminating their investigations into contemporary religious and non-religious architecture.

Ziad Jamaleddine and Makram el Kadi will be in conversation with Nader Tehrani, an Iranian-American designer and educator who founded NADAAA in 2011 and has focused his research on the transformation of the building industry and innovative material applications. The evening unfolds with doors at 6:00 PM, conversation beginning at 6:30 PM, a Q&A at 7:15 PM, and a reception at 7:30 PM.

The space is on the ground floor and fully ADA-accessible. Photography, audio, and video recording may occur; by entering, you consent to such documentation. This is a free event; registration is required.
