YA MASKHARA! يا مسخرة! A SWANA Masquerade

A masquerade celebration hosted by Tarab NYC, a nonprofit building community for queer and gender non-conforming Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African people across the greater New York City area. This is a space to dress up, mask up, and move together—a night designed for SWANA LGBTQ+ folks and their allies to gather, celebrate, and be seen.

Tarab NYC has been fostering inclusive, safe community in the city for years, centering the voices and joy of queer Arabs and North Africans. This event carries that mission forward: a chance to show up as yourself, however you want to present, in a room full of people who get it.

Expect a small venue with room to dance and mingle. Advance RSVP is free; donations of $5, $10, or $20 are welcome. Dress code is masquerade—bring a mask, bring your creativity, bring your friends.
