Nadia Murad, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and survivor of ISIS captivity, sits down for a panel discussion and book signing around her memoir *I Choose My Beginning*—a reckoning with sexual violence as a weapon of war, and a blueprint for survivor-led justice. Murad is a Yazidi activist from Iraq who has spent the last decade reshaping international law and policy, pushing the UN Security Council and governments worldwide to center survivors in the systems meant to protect them. She founded Nadia's Initiative to rebuild communities in crisis and has been instrumental in establishing investigative mechanisms and reparations access globally.
