Panel Discussion: I Choose My Beginning

Nadia Murad, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and survivor of ISIS captivity, sits down for a panel discussion and book signing around her memoir *I Choose My Beginning*—a reckoning with sexual violence as a weapon of war, and a blueprint for survivor-led justice. Murad is a Yazidi activist from Iraq who has spent the last decade reshaping international law and policy, pushing the UN Security Council and governments worldwide to center survivors in the systems meant to protect them. She founded Nadia's Initiative to rebuild communities in crisis and has been instrumental in establishing investigative mechanisms and reparations access globally. This is a rare chance to hear directly from someone who has moved survivor justice from the margins to the center of global accountability.

The conversation explores themes of rebuilding, hope, and what it means to choose your own beginning after unimaginable harm. All are welcome.
