ACACIA by APS
Friday, October 23 · 2:00 PM - late evening · Bronx
A day-to-night gathering exploring psychedelic science, Arab culture, consciousness, music, and collective experience. ACACIA brings together researchers, practitioners, artists, musicians, and curious minds for conversation, cultural exchange, experiential programming, and communal connection flowing into an evening of live music, jamming, and DJs from across the Arab diaspora.
The daytime program introduces the Arab Psychedelic Society and explores questions around psychedelic science, mental health, culture, altered states of consciousness, decolonization, and safety in healing spaces. Conversations are complemented by experiential activations rooted in Arab cultural traditions, including Arabic Maqam and other traditional embodiment practices. Speakers and panelists include Haya Al-Hejailan, Leah Fawaz, Rua Al-Fadil, DREEEMY, Amira Radwan, and Omar Aena — a lineup centered on Arab perspectives on music, ritual, healing, and collective liberation.
As evening arrives, the space opens into live performances, collaborative jamming, and a curated lineup of DJs celebrating Arab diaspora identities. This is a fundraiser supporting APS's mission of education, research, practitioner training, and community programming. Limited to 100 guests, 21+. Doors at 1 PM.
