New York Arab American Comedy Festival

Thursday, October 15 – 17 · 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM nightly · East Village

New York Arab American Comedy Festival

The New York Arab American Comedy Festival is back for its 23rd year at one of NYC's most iconic stages, bringing three nights of bold, uncensored comedy from some of the sharpest Arab American voices in the game. This is the festival that refuses to play it safe—expect fearless storytelling, boundary-pushing humor, and the kind of laughter that comes from recognition and truth-telling.

The lineup reads like a who's who of Arab comedy: Mohanad Elshieky (Libyan comedian and writer), Dean Obeidallah and Maysoon Zayid (the festival's fearless cofounders), Salma Hindy, Yasmin Elhady, Laura Laham, Fady Rizk, Bilal Sharmoug, Hanan Issa, and Demetrius Fields, among many others. Each night has its own flavor—opening night celebrates the breadth of Arab talent, Thursday's second show digs into love and dating culture, Friday goes full uncensored, and the weekend wraps with legends and a rapid-fire comedy kebab finale.

Joe's Pub is intimate and rowdy in the best way; doors open at 6 PM and 9 PM nightly. There's a two-drink or one-food minimum per person, so budget accordingly. Tickets are $36 advance (inclusive of fees), and if you're cutting it close, the box office at 425 Lafayette Street sells walk-ups right before showtime. Lineups are subject to change, so check the website for the most current roster.
