Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother

A film about faith, work, and fatherhood from writer-director Bassam Tariq. Mahershala Ali plays Latif, a devoutly religious hitman navigating the impossible balance between his profession, his beliefs, and raising his children. When his wife dies, he's forced into a desperate journey across Houston, confronting both the external forces closing in and the internal convictions threatening to unravel.

Bassam Tariq is a Palestinian-American filmmaker whose work centers on identity and moral complexity. The cast includes Giancarlo Esposito, John Cho, Tramell Tillman, Laith Nakli, and Abubakr Ali. This is a Cinema Arabiyya screening — part of the Arab Film Calendar curated by Yasmina Tawil.

Alamo Drafthouse Lower Manhattan is a full-service cinema with food and drinks available. The film runs across two evenings: Thursday, October 8 at 6:45 PM and Sunday, October 11 at 11:45 PM. Check the venue's site or Cinema Arabiyya's calendar for ticket details and availability.
