Open Dabke Rehearsal with NYC Troupe: Ushaq El-Ard

An open workshop and rehearsal with NYC PYM's Dabke Troupe: Ushaq El-Ard — the Palestinian Youth Movement's dance collective. All levels welcome, whether you've danced dabke before or you're stepping into it for the first time.

Dabke is a traditional Levantine line dance, and Ushaq El-Ard ("Children of the Land") brings it alive as both cultural practice and living art. The troupe rehearses regularly and opens these sessions to the community — a chance to learn the footwork, feel the rhythm, and move alongside people who care about keeping the form alive.

Expect a casual, inclusive vibe. Two hours, in-person, all levels. No experience necessary.
