Alsarah and Brandon Terzic

Alsarah and Brandon Terzic of Alsarah and the Nubatones are bringing an intimate evening of Nubian songs of return—a deeply rooted musical journey spanning from Hamza Eldin's classic work through contemporary pieces. This is music that carries the weight of diaspora, memory, and homecoming.

Alsarah is a Brooklyn-based vocalist and bandleader with roots in Sudan and Somalia, known for her work reviving and reimagining East African and Nubian musical traditions. Brandon Terzic is her collaborator and multi-instrumentalist, integral to the Nubatones' lush, layered sound that honors traditional forms while speaking to modern experience.

Barzakh Cafe is a intimate neighborhood spot in Bed-Stuy—the kind of place where music feels close and personal. Grab tickets in advance; the venue has a no-refund policy, so commit to the evening. Expect a seated, attentive crowd and the kind of performance that lingers after you leave.
