Lilit Pipoyan
Wednesday, November 25 · 7:20 PM · Midtown
Acclaimed Armenian musician Lilit Pipoyan brings an intimate evening of contemporary Armenian music to New York as part of her international tour. Born in Yerevan into an artistic family, Pipoyan trained in architecture and earned a PhD in Armenian architectural theory before returning to her first passion—music. Her distinctive voice moves beyond tradition, weaving together Armenian poetry, folklore, medieval secular songs, and contemporary arrangements that breathe new life into centuries-old melodies, sometimes reconstructing lost originals entirely.
Expect guitar, piano, and a rich array of string instruments creating a sound deeply rooted in Armenian heritage yet distinctly modern. Pipoyan has performed for decades in renowned concert halls worldwide, and this New York show promises an evening of music, poetry, and storytelling in an intimate setting.
Doors open at 7:00 PM with the concert starting at 7:20 PM. A small reception follows, giving you a chance to linger in a warm, close atmosphere. All tickets are $55.
