Salma Hindy: 10 Years of Stand-Up Comedy

Ten years after stepping onstage for the first time, Salma Hindy celebrates a decade in stand-up with her biggest New York performance yet. For the first time in NYC, Salma takes the stage as a true headliner, performing the longest set she’s ever done in the city. In this deeply personal and sharply funny hour, Salma explores the life she’s built after walking away from religion, becoming estranged from her family, and being disowned by her father. After spending most of her life trying to be the perfect Muslim daughter, what happens when you finally get the freedom you wanted, and have absolutely no idea what to do with it? Salma Hindy is a NYC-based comedian, actor, and writer who stars as the lead voice in Ramy Youssef’s A24/Amazon series #1 Happy Family USA. She has opened for Chelsea Handler on two tours, is a Canadian Screen Award-winning writer, and is the creator and host of The Secret Sex Lives of Muslim Women. Her debut comedy album, Born on 9/11, has played on SiriusXM since 2022. Join Salma at The Stand on November 4th for a one-night-only celebration of ten years of comedy, and the beginning of whatever comes next.
