Mutts / Man Push Cart
Friday, September 4 – 6 · 7:00 PM (Sep 4); 1:30 PM (Sep 6) · Midtown
A double feature screening: Halima Ouardiri's Mutts (2019, 18 min), filmed in a Moroccan dog sanctuary as metaphor for refugee struggles, paired with Ramin Bahrani's Man Push Cart (2005, 87 min), a post-9/11 portrait of a Pakistani immigrant street vendor in Midtown Manhattan. Inspired by lead actor Ahmad Razvi's life story, the film explores marginalization and human disconnection in the American dream.
