A newly restored political fable by Heiny Srour (1984, Lebanon, 90 min) that weaves together folklore, oral testimony, archival footage, and fantasy sequences to uncover the collective memory of Arab women and resistance movements throughout the twentieth century. A young woman hanging an exhibition of Palestinian and Lebanese resistance photographs notices the absence of women and is propelled through real and imaginary landscapes to explore an untold history.
