Summer Sema: A 24h Sufi Devotional Gathering

Join us for our next 24-hour Sema gathering, featuring continuous, uninterrupted live devotional music, whirling, poetry, and prayer. From 6 PM on August 8 to 6 PM on August 9, we will turn together in devotion, holding an intention of healing for our world; inviting stillness, presence, and light. This gathering will bring together music groups from across the Northeast, sharing their sacred sounds to create a prayer for unity and healing. Each set will weave Rumi’s timeless teachings of love and connection into a collective experience of spiritual reflection and celebration. Hosted at AKERA Retreat Center in Woodbourne, NY, nestled in the Catskill Mountains — just two hours from NYC. Sliding scale registration includes ceremony and meals.
