Big Crown Records 10 Year Anniversary ft El Michels Affair + special guests

Big Crown Records marks a decade with a night built around El Michels Affair, the Brooklyn-based producer and multi-instrumentalist known for blending soul, funk, and global sounds into something that feels both rooted and restless. The label's been a quiet force in reissuing and championing underheard music — this is their moment to celebrate it.

Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek bring Turkish psychedelic folk and rock into the mix, a sound that's hypnotic and propulsive at once. Yıldırım's voice carries the weight of Anatolian tradition while the band pushes it forward. Marco Benevento (keys, producer), Homer, Dave Guy, and Brainstory round out a lineup that reads like a conversation between genres — soul, funk, world music, and experimental production all in one room.

Expect a full evening in a warehouse-style space with room to move. Doors at 6, and the whole thing runs until 10:30. You'll need a valid US government ID or passport to get in — no expired IDs, no photocopies. Tickets start at $30. The venue operates a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination, and they mean it.
