Omeed's Tapestries

A play about an Iranian shopkeeper and his partner who plan to flee their homeland to live openly as a same-sex couple, with hopes thrown into jeopardy when a devout neighbor discovers their secret. Featuring Iranian actor Kamran Taherpour and Turkish actor Defne Özkan, part of the Midtown International Theatre Festival. A talkback follows the July 9 performance.
