Dear Laila By Basel Zaraa

Dear Laila is an intimate, one-person-at-a-time, 15-minute installation by Palestinian artist Basel Zaraa that recreates his destroyed childhood home in miniature. Through Walkman audio in English and Arabic, audiences experience a story of displacement, exile, and memories of family and community from the perspective of a child learning about their parent's past. There will also be work exhibited from the Gaza Biennale.
