Khalid Razick
Tuesday, October 27 · 8:00 PM · Fort Greene
An intimate trio evening celebrating the trombone in Arabic music — Khalid Razick blends Palestinian folk, Arabic classical, and jazz into something that feels both rooted and restless.
Razick is a NYC-based trombonist whose debut EP 'Eternal Flame' weaves Palestinian folk melodies with jazz improvisation. He co-directs Souq El-Jum3a Collective, a Boston-based group dedicated to uplifting the Arabic music and cultural community. He's taught masterclasses at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Palestine and performed everywhere from the Panama Jazz Festival to intimate settings like Suffolk County Jail — he believes in music's power to reach people wherever they are.
Expect a small room, the kind where the acoustics reward sitting close. $20 at the door, no advance tickets mentioned — arrive early if you want a good seat.
