Persian Jam Session with Mehrnam Rastegari

Spend an evening with Mehrnam Rastegari, a NYC-based kamancheh master, singer, violinist, and award-winning composer, as he leads a night of Persian music and improvisation. This is a chance to experience live traditional and contemporary Persian music in an intimate setting, with a musician whose work bridges classical heritage and creative exploration.

Rastegari brings deep roots in Persian musical tradition alongside his work as a composer and performer in New York's diverse music scene. Expect an evening centered on the kamancheh—a bowed string instrument central to Persian classical music—alongside vocal performance and collaborative improvisation.

The event takes place in a small cafe space. Tickets are required; check the venue's refund policy before purchasing. Come ready to listen closely and be part of a community gathered around this music.
