Discostan with Omid Walizadeh, Mansaf Mama
Thursday, November 19 · 10:30 PM · Gowanus
Discostan brings a night of disco and dance music to Public Records, the Gowanus venue built into a historic building on the canal. Omid Walizadeh and Mansaf Mama anchor the lineup, both rooted in the electronic and world music scenes that blend Middle Eastern and global sounds with contemporary club culture.
Public Records operates as a safer space with a strict anti-discrimination policy—they reject racism, misogyny, transphobia, homophobia, and sexism. Consent and respect are paramount; anyone violating the venue's rules gets removed. The space itself is multi-faceted, designed as both a music venue and social hub.
Doors open at 10:30 PM and close one hour before the 2:30 AM end time. Minimum age is 21+. Tickets start at $23 (first release) or $28.75 (second release). Large bags and coats must be checked. The venue reserves the right to deny entry to anyone appearing intoxicated or not meeting the dress code. Tickets may be available at the door based on capacity.
