Print-Making Open Studio w/ Daniel + Peter + Hamzah

A three-hour open studio session for printmakers to develop projects in community. Whether you're working on a screenprint, relief print, or something experimental, you'll have access to basic tools and materials—paper, transparencies, ink, linoleum, screens, emulsion—and the space to get your hands dirty alongside other organizers, artists, and cultural workers.

Daniel Drennan ElAwar is an illustrator, printmaker, and fiber artist whose work centers displacement, dispossession, and decolonization. He founded Jamaa Al-Yad (جمع اليد), a Beirut-based artists' collective, and now manages the studio and workshops for Frontline Arts. Peter and Hamzah, working together as One of Many, create fashion, art, and music as a vehicle for positive change—they're particularly drawn to screenprinting for its versatility and reusability, using it to produce upcycled sustainable fashion pieces and prints.

The session is drop-in and self-directed: you define your own goals. If you want the studio to print a transparency for your screenprint project, email the file to francesca.b@peoplesforum.org by noon on Thursday before the session, with subject line 'OPEN STUDIO PRINT' and dimensions in the body. Registration is required. The People's Forum is at 320 West 37th Street (between 8th & 9th Avenues); the space is accessible by subway (1, 2, 3, 7, A, C, E, M, N, Q, R lines).
