Writers With Attitude Presents: 6th Annual Meet & Greet

Writers With Attitude kicks off its sixth year with a meet-and-greet centered on their 2026-2027 theme: Writing Across the Diaspora. This is a chance to learn about the organization, preview the syllabus, and meet the community of writers and creatives who'll be workshopping together all year.

The evening explores how stories preserve, challenge, and reimagine identity, memory, and belonging across cultures and generations. The syllabus draws from poetry, fiction, memoir, translated literature, and spoken word — writers like Mahmoud Darwish, Ocean Vuong, Elizabeth Acevedo, and others whose work traverses Indigenous, African, Caribbean, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and Asian diasporic stories. You'll get a sense of what the weekly discussions and peer-review process look like, plus details on membership and the year's events.

The first 30 ticket holders get an exclusive W.W.A Lit Kit (a literary box with writing prompts, journaling supplies, and creative essentials). Everyone gets a raffle entry for LUNA Magazine and a complimentary glass of wine (21+ ID required). Coffee, tea, and pastries are available for purchase. Doors open at 3:20 PM; the event runs two hours and is 18+.
