Listening While Muslim (LWM) is a series of thematic listening parties co-created by Asad Ali Jafri (DJ Ase Wonder) and Abdul-Rehman Malik. Equal part music appreciation and community gathering, LWM brings together Muslim music lovers and allies at Barzakh Café in Brooklyn to explore the intersection of Muslim identity and sound culture.
