Arabic Singing Workshop with Hadi Eldebek | Tribute to Zaid Rahbani

oin Hadi Eldebek—musician, composer, and cultural activist—for an immersive exploration of Arabic song. An artist who has collaborated with Yo-Yo Ma's Silkroad Ensemble and inspired millions with his viral TED talk, Hadi brings a unique energy and expertise to his teaching. This workshop is your chance to delve into the heart of Arabic music, learning the techniques and traditions that have captivated audiences for centuries. In this month's workshop, we will focus on the songs of Ziad Rahbani (1956–2025), one of the most influential Arab artists of the past half-century — a Lebanese composer, playwright, and provocateur who gave Lebanon its sharpest political satire, and wrote some of the most beloved songs ever sung by his mother, the legendary Fairuz. To millions across the Arab world, his music is the sound of home, of laughter in dark times, and of an artist who never stopped standing with the people.
