Gabe Lavin & Insia Malik at Sisters Brooklyn

Brooklyn Maqam presents oudist and composer Gabe Lavin and violinist Insia Malik in an evening of Arabic music. Gabe Lavin is a Brooklyn-based oud player and ethnomusicologist trained at Beit El Oud in Cairo; Insia Malik is a versatile violinist who has performed with the New York Arabic Orchestra, National Arabic Orchestra, and with Simon Shaheen.
