ArteEast presents the online run of KHANEVADE: Portraits of Iranian Americans, an Unpacking the ArteArchive film program curated by Nick Kouhi. The full program features six documentary works tracing Iranian-American life across time, identity, and migration, with films by Persis Karim, Sierra Urich, Maryam Kashani, Majid Rahnema and Marie Louise Stine, Julia Elihu, and Armon Mahdavi. The online program includes a recorded conversation with filmmaker Persis Karim and scholar Amy Malek, Associate Professor of Anthropology and American Studies at William & Mary and author of Culture Beyond Country: Strategies of Inclusion in the Global Iranian Diaspora.
