ArteEast Presents "Do You Love Me" by Lana Daher at the Metrograph

ArteEast presents Do You Love Me by Lana Daher, followed by a post-screening conversation with ArteEast Operations Manager Sylvia Feghali. A cinematic tribute to Beirut and a journey into the collective audiovisual memory of Lebanon and its people, the film draws on film and television clips, home movies, and photographs from private and public archives spanning 70 years of turbulent history. Moving across intimacy and alienation, destruction and renewal, grief and resilience, the film offers a people's history that eschews linear chronology for a rich, generation-crossing portrait of a nation. Drawing on more than 20,000 images and sound recordings, it creates a deeply textured reflection on memory, loss, and belonging.
