Emruz Festival

A three-day festival in NYC featuring plays, concerts, and films by artists of Middle Eastern, Southwest Asian, and North African descent. May 1 centers on Iranian and Afghan traditional music with performances of 'Of Roots and Colors,' 'And the Mountains Echoed,' and Persian contemporary music. May 2 presents three theatrical works exploring displacement and migration, including 'KISMET' by Turkish playwrights. May 3 features 'Ceasefire Later!' (a Gaza-focused choreopoem) and 'Testament of Bondar Bidakhsh' (a Persian myth reimagined).
