MEGUMI & Friends at Barbes

Composer/violinist MEGUMI presents original compositions shaped by her experiences in Brooklyn, Japan, and Egypt, drawing from Arabic maqam traditions, Japanese lyricism, and contemporary jazz. Performed with Brian Prunka (oud), Justin Salisbury (piano), Moto Fukushima (bass), and Ronen Itzik (drums). MEGUMI studied in Cairo under legendary violinist Abdo Dagher and frequently performs in Egypt.
