The Agam Septet at Sisters Brooklyn

The Agam Septet is a new project led by Sami Abu Shumays (violin) focused on virtuosic Arabic and Turkish instrumental music, featuring world premieres of four original compositions alongside classic pieces. The ensemble includes Zafer Tawil (qanun), Gabe Lavin (oud), Johnny Farraj (percussion), and Alber Baseel (percussion), performing in the Ottoman-derived Samai form.
