Group Maqam Singing Classes: Arabic Music for All - May 19th

Maqam singing class focused on Maqam Hijazkar, led by Palestinian-American master musician Sami Abu Shumays, co-author of "Inside Arabic Music." This stand-alone class uses group call-and-response singing to explore the microtonal scale system of Arabic music in a welcoming, non-judgmental environment. Drop-ins welcome; suitable for non-musicians through advanced practitioners.
