IMAL GNAWA at Barbès

Imal Gnawa performs music rooted in traditional Moroccan Gnawa, using sintir (lute-bass) and krakrebs (metal castanets) augmented by electronic elements. They recently released their debut EP "Twilight Prophecy." Gnawa is a traditional Moroccan music and ritual tradition with deep African and Islamic roots.
