Exhibit "emBLADy: embodying the BLAD" by Esraa Warda

Algerian-American dance artist Esraa Warda examines what can be learned about a person's story and culture from observing their dance and movements. In collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Muyassar Kurdi, they film and photograph six Algerian women dancing in their homes, presented as an installation. Viewers can also learn Algerian traditional dance forms through video tutorials.
