For Sama

Directed by Waad Al-Kateab & Edward Watts, For Sama depicts the filmmaker's life through five years in Aleppo, from economics student to marriage and motherhood against the backdrop of the Battle of Aleppo. The film follows Waad and her husband Hamza al-Kateab, a doctor at one of the city's remaining hospitals, as they face the decision to flee or stay to serve the war's victims.
