Sounds of the Persian Gulf: Mohammad Khodadadi Live

Discover the extraordinary musical heritage of Southern Iran in a vibrant live performance by Mohammad Khodadadi at DROM NYC.

Born from centuries of cultural exchange between the Persian Gulf, East Africa, and the Indian Ocean, the Afro-Iranian traditions of Bushehr carry a distinctive musical language of powerful rhythms, expressive melodies, and communal celebration.

Drawing on these traditions, Khodadadi brings together the energy of Southern Iranian dance music and the artistry of live performance.

Whether you grew up with the sounds of Southern Iran or are discovering them for the first time, this is an invitation to come together, celebrate, and dance.
